"You are making your way in a desolate post apocalyptic world. Society has collapsed. You hear of the Forest of The Sun, a place that escaped the great cataclysm, where life still flourishes, and so you decide to seek it out.”

'The Wasteland' is a concept soundtrack perfect for exploring the end of the world. Written in the height of the of the 2019/2020 Australian summer while the air was thick with smoke and our city was ringed by fires, my thoughts were of a post apocalyptic landscape and those that might find themselves living in it.

Composed mostly of acoustic guitar, a single dirty electric, strings, pianos and other instruments that might find life in such a landscape, 'The Wasteland’ attempts to evoke the feeling of loneliness, desolation and despair. But, as you make your journey though this wasteland hope emerges and you'll find life has a meaning after all.
